Annual Community Aid Charity Programme:

Da Ma Cai Gives RM1,448,000 to 100 Welfare Organisations

Da Ma Cai kick-started the auspicious year of the Dragon with its Annual Community Aid Charity Programme that provides financial assistance to the residents, trainers and members of 100 charitable organisations nationwide. The official launch of this Programme took place at one of the beneficiary organisations, Pusat Penjagaan Kanak-kanak Cacat Taman Megah, with presentation ceremony to beneficiary organisations located in the Klang Valley and Pahang. A total of 38 charity bodies from Klang Valley received donations amounting to RM568,000 and 4 organisations in Pahang received a total of RM48,000 during the event.

This year, Da Ma Cai’s charity initiative marks a significant milestone. Earlier January, Da Ma Cai launched a Chinese New Year charity drive “Give Luck Get Luck” Charity GO Package through its mobile betting channel, dmcGO. This charity drive involved Da Ma Cai’s customers to jointly participate in raising funds for charitable homes.

“With the belief of a good deed and be blessed with good luck, this charity drive was very well received among our customers and we are able to increase our donation from RM1,000,000 to RM1,448,000 that will benefit a total of 100 organisations. It is truly a community programme, by the Community and for the Community.” Dato’ Sri Tan Kong Han, Managing Director of Da Ma Cai reiterated.

“As the donation we received had decreased by 90%, our Centre has no room to buffer rising food prices. We are very grateful for this kind and generous support from Da Ma Cai as this financial aid serves well for the betterment of our residents. It means a lot to us and even more to our residents,” said Jude Jasvin Joseph, Chairman of Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Cerdik.

Presentation ceremonies will be held for the Northern and Southern Regions. For the Northern Region, presentation ceremony will be held at Pertubuhan Pengurusan Rumah Warga Tua "Anning" Ipoh Perak (Bao En Shi) on 23 February 2024, and 29 charitable organisations located in Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak will be receiving a total of RM410,00 financial aid. As for the Southern Region, 29 charitable organisations in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor will be receiving RM422,000 in total, during the presentation ceremony to be held at Rumah Sejahtera Bukit Baru on 27 February 2024.
