Da Ma Cai RM800,000 Aid for Charities

Da Ma Cai organised its annual Chinese New Year Festival Charity Programme for the 21 year, sharing the festive spirit with the underprivileged and donated a total of RM800,000 to 80 charitable organisations.

The programme kicked off at Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor and Federal Territory today. At this Central Region ceremony, RM10,000 each were presented to 36 charity bodies from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Pahang. Guests comprising the disabled, orphans, the elderly and the poor attended the ceremony.

Da Ma Cai General Manager Mr Andy Lim said it is very meaningful to have the festival charity programme, and Da Ma Cai hope to improve the quality of life of the underprivileged within communities in which Da Ma Cai operates.

“This community outreach initiative, which has been on-going for the past twenty-one years, And with this year’s contribution, the Festival Charity Programme has surpassed the 14 million Ringgit mark,” he added.

150 guests comprising the disabled, orphans, the elderly and the poor, were gathered at the hall of Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor and Federal Territory and were treated to a sumptuous eight-course Chinese meal while being entertained by students of Spastic Children’s Association lion dance performances.
